Brandon Holland has come up with a VNC Server plugin for the second-gen Apple TV which will allow you to remotely access your Apple TV from any VNC client, running on your PC or Mac.
Dubbed as Exposed, it requires a second-generation Apple TV which is jailbroken on iOS 4.1 or 4.2.1. Installation instructions are posted up on AwkwardTV wiki.
