Here’s how to enable Apple Intelligence outside of US on your iPhone or iPad the easy way.
Apple released iOS 18.1 beta 1 to developers which unlocks the much-awaited Apple Intelligence package on compatible iOS devices. However, the feature is only available to developers in the US and that too via a waitlist, but luckily there’s a away around it.
Before you move ahead, make sure that the device you’re wanting to try Apple Intelligence on, is actually compatible with Apple’s new AI. This means, an iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max and above, or an M1 iPad or later.
Here’s what you need to do:
- First, make sure your device is supported, then follow the instructions below to get it up and running.
- Next, let’s get your device settings in order:
- Open Settings and navigate to General, then Language & Region
- Add English (US) as a language
- Set your region to United States (don’t worry, this won’t affect your App Store settings or purchases)
- Now, head back to the main Settings menu and:
- Tap on Apple Intelligence & Siri
- Set your language to English (United States)
- You’re now set to join the Apple Intelligence waitlist! This usually takes just a few minutes.
- Tap on Join Waitlist under the Apple Intelligence header
- Wait for the confirmation message
- Once you’re accepted, tap Turn On Apple Intelligence. You’ll get a welcome message confirming that you’ve successfully enabled AI features on your device.
