Microsoft today has made available for download its first major update to Windows 10 to users around the globe. Windows 10 version 1511 Build 10586 November Update as its called brings plenty of improvements to the operating system, not least of which is a performance boost that will be a welcome addition for those complaining of problems in that regard since the jump to Windows 10.
While the update has rolled out to those already running eligible versions of Windows 10 with the installation taking care of itself through Windows Update, not everyone already has Windows 10 installed. Those who want to install a fresh clean version of Microsoft’s latest operating system from scratch equally don’t want to have to go about installing big, important software updates straight after installation, either.
Thankfully, someone at Microsoft realizes that and as a result Windows 10 build 10586 is now available to download as a complete ISO file for immediate installation on brand new machines.
Anyone wanting to get installation media that is all up to date can take advantage of Microsoft’s Windows 10 media creation tool, a free tool that creates ISOs ready for either burning to DVD or copying over to a USB drive. Microsoft’s Windows 10 has proven more popular than the previous release of Windows, that was Windows 8/8.1. Taking some the best bits of Windows 7 and amalgamating them with those from Windows 8 and 8.1, Windows 10 ticks more boxes for most people. Add in big software updates like today’s, and Windows certainly looks to be getting back onto the right track.
