Apple has today released the seventh developer beta of tvOS 16 and wat5chOS 9, giving people who build apps for Apple TV and Apple Watch hardware the chance to test them against the next beta offering.
Apple is expected to make both watchOS 9 and tvOS 16 available to the public in a matter of weeks and it’s been releasing betas at a fair pace since they were both announced in June.
We’re closer than ever to a public release and Apple is now making new betas available weekly.
tvOS 16
The tvOS 16 update isn’t a huge one but does include improvements that might be of use to some. Nintendo Joy-Cons and the Pro Controller can now be used when playing games, while HDR10+ support has also been added to the Apple TV app.
Those who are part of the developer beta can now install this latest update so long as they have the correct profile installed via Xcode.
watchOS 9
Expected to be the software that will power the upcoming Apple Watch Series 8 and new rugged Apple Watch, this new release includes new watch faces and more. Other improvements include the ability to track medications as well as a new Afib History feature that has been added to the ECG app.
The new, seventh beta is available for download by those who have the correct developer beta installed on their iPhones and Apple Watches now.
