You can now download watchOS 11 beta 1 for Apple Watch and tvOS 18 for Apple TV. Here are the details on both new beta releases.
Apple’s big WWDC 2024 event has now come to a close and has become the way. Apple has now released the very first developer beta versions of its new software.
It’s likely to be a number of months before those updates are ready to be made available to the public, but registered developers who want to be able to test watchOS 11 beta 1 and tvOS 18 beta 1 right now can do just that.
However, it’s important to remember that these betas are indeed that, and we should expect that they will have bugs and features that are not fully working as expected. Not just that, but these are the very first beta releases at that, meaning these downloads will be the worst versions of this new software.
Also, remember that you must be a registered developer and signed into the correct Apple ID in order to install these updates on your devices. Ready to get started? Head to developer.apple.com to get the ball rolling.
We also expect that public beta updates will be released to the public in due course, but for now only those who are developers can download watchOS 11 and tvOS 18. As for the final releases, we expect that Apple will make the new updates to the public in or around the middle of September alongside the new Apple Watch X and refreshed Apple Watch Ultra.
