You can now download watchOS 10 beta 1 for Apple Watch and tvOS 17 for Apple TV. Here are the details on both new beta releases.
Apple’s WWDC23 event is now very much underway and the company has shared details about all of its next software updates ahead of a release to the public later this year.
Now, developers can download the first watchOS 10 and tvOS 17 betas, giving them the chance to work on their apps throughout the summer.
Registered developers can now download the betas, but it’s going to be a little while before we can expect public beta testers to be able to take those same betas for a spin. Apple tends to wait until it’s ironed out the main issues before letting public beta testers get involved.
Developers who are signed in to their developer Apple ID can download the watchOS 10 beta via the Watch app on their iPhone, while Apple TV owners will need to make sure that they have the correct beta profile installed via Xcode on a Mac.
As always however, we’d suggest caution even among seasoned developers. These are early beta releases and problems should be anticipated if not expected. With that in mind, we would absolutely make sure to have all of your data backed up before installing either of these betas just in case something goes wrong. Other than that, happy installing!
