Apple has today released for download visionOS 2.2 beta 3 for Apple Vision Pro and tvOS 18.2 beta 3 for Apple TV to developers.
The release comes a week after beta 2 seed and is available to download today to those registered on Apple Developer Program portal.
tvOS 18.2 beta 3 introduces enhanced support for projectors with a 21:9 aspect ratio, along with various other aspect ratio options to choose from. The update enables the Apple TV to automatically detect the aspect ratio of your projection device, ensuring the correct setting is selected. Also added in this release is Snoopy screen saver option which Apple originally announced as part of tvOS 18.0 back in June this year.
As for visionOS 2.2, this version adds to Apple Vision Pro the much-awaited Ultrawide Mac Virtual Display option for compatible Macs. This feature allows users to set the Vision Pro to either Wide or Ultrawide mode. The Ultrawide setting is equivalent to having two 4K displays side by side, providing a significant improvement over the current Mac Virtual Display available in visionOS 2.1.
