Apple has today released for download visionOS 2 final version to the public, the latest software update for the Apple Vision Pro and owners of the special computer can install it on their headsets right now.
This new visionOS 2 software update was announced way back in June during the annual WWDC event, and it’s been made available to developers in beta form ever since.
The beta program has seen multiple versions released as Apple worked through kinds and tweaked features, and now it’s ready for download by all Apple Vision Pro owners.
While visionOS isn’t getting support for Apple Intelligence just yet, this software update is still worth installing if you’re an Apple Vision Pro owner thanks to a number of improvements.
With visionOS 2 installed, users will be able to create spatial photos from 2D images while SharePlay support has also been added for the Photos app. That app has been redesigned as well, more closely matching that of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18.
Elsewhere, new Home View customization options have been added while new gestures are also available. Mac owners will enjoy a new panoramic, ultra-wide screen when using Mac Virtual Display mode while the ability to see a Magic Keyboard or MacBook keyboard when in an immersive environment will be a big deal for those who use their Mac at the same time.
All of that and more is now available when you install visionOS 2 on your Apple Vision Pro.
To get visionOS 2 final version on your Apple Vision Pro, head to Settings > General > Software Update section of the device and grab the OTA update from there.
