Apple has today released macOS Ventura 13.0.1 to the public, with the order of the day very much being fixing bugs rather than adding new features.
The new update arrives two weeks after Apple made the first macOS Ventura release available.
Those who already have macOS Ventura installed on their Mac can now get this updated release via the Software Update mechanism within the System Settings app. Everyone who doesn’t yet have macOS Ventura installed can update directly to the macOS Ventura 13.0.1 update on compatible Macs.
Alongside a number of bug fixes, Apple says that this new release deals with a couple of security vulnerabilities that could allow apps to be terminated or arbitrary code to be run by a remote user without permission. However, Apple also says that neither of these two issues have been exploited in the wild which is good news for all.
While this new update is available to the public, Apple is already testing macOS Ventura 13.1 with developers as well as those who are on the public beta program, too. We can expect that update to be released to the public once that beta program has concluded, too.
Apple also released iOS 16.1.1 to the public today, bringing its own range of bug fixes. Users of iPhones can download that update now.
