Apple just released iOS 7.0.5 download links for select devices. This update is currently only available for iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c and corrects network provisioning for models that are sold in China.
According to the official changelog:
Corrects network provisioning for some iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models sold in China.
There has not been much by way of clarification on the network provisioning issues, but it’s fair to say that they must have been significant enough and affecting a number of users since Apple has deemed it necessary to pull out this update.
At 35.4 MB in size, it’s not a particularly large update, and unless you are in ownership of the iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c, you needn’t worry about what it contains since it can only be installed on the two latest smartphones.
Hopefully, we will soon be able to establish what else Apple has changed with this release, if there is indeed anything to tell. While the change log is fairly cut-and-dried in only mentioning the provisioning issue in China, it could well be that some other minor tweaks have taken place, and since Apple doesn’t always go into grave detail, it could emerge that iOS 7.0.5 contains a little more than billed.
It is important to note that while iOS 7.1 beta 4 did patch Evasi0n7 exploits partially, it is unclear whether the just released iOS 7.0.5 includes the patch for Evasi0n7 jailbreak. So yes, if you are jailbroken, avoid this update at all costs. We will update you as soon as we hear more on it. Stay tuned.
If you simply want to grab iOS 7.0.5, you can do so via iTunes, or the OTA feature found under the Settings icon on your device’s home screen. If you do happen to download it and notice any noteworthy changes that Apple has neglected to mention, be sure to let us know in the comments below.

Update x1: While Apple changelog says it’s only available on models sold in China, it looks like 7.0.5 update is also available on models sold in UK/Europe and Asia Pacific. So yes, the fix is for network provisioning on Chinese networks, but the firmware update is available on all 5s and 5c models sold outside U.S.
