Download: iOS 18.5 Beta 1 Released Alongside Beta 1 Of iPadOS 18.5, macOS 15.5, visionOS 2.5, tvOS 18.5, watchOS 11.5

Following release of iOS 18.4 to public, Apple has now released for download iOS 18.5 beta 1 to developers for testing. The new beta arrives just a day or two after iOS 18.4’s release and comes alongside beta 1 of iPadOS 18.5, visionOS 2.5, macOS 15.5, tvOS 18.5 and watchOS 11.5.

Developers can now download the aforementioned software using the Settings app on their Apple device but it’s important to remember that these betas could well have bugs and should only be installed on non-critical devices.

It’s still too early to know what changes Apple has added to this latest round of betas, and it’s possible that more changes will come as the company releases more betas further through the cycle. There are still some Apple Intelligence features that have not yet been released, but it’s doubtful that they will be included in the iOS 18.5 release.

We don’t yet know how long Apple intends to release new beta updates before the final update is made available to the public, but it’s unlikely to happen until well into May. We are also now working towards the end of the iOS 18 cycle however, with Apple is expected to announce iOS 19 during the WWDC event in June. That software will then be released in September alongside the release of the iPhone 17 lineup.

A public beta release for iOS 18.5 and others is expected to begin within days, assuming no issues are identified with this first developer beta release.
