You can now download iOS 18.2 beta 1 OTA profile update and IPSW links for iPhone and iPadOS 18.2 beta 1 for iPad. Here are the details on the release.
Out of nowhere, Apple has today released iOS 18.2 beta 1 for iPhone to developers.
This release comes following iOS 18.1 RC release and brings with it even more Apple Intelligence features which didn’t make the cut in iOS 18.1.
This update include features such as Genmoji, Image Playground, ChatGPT integration, iPhone 16 Visual Intelligence, and much more.
As you may already know, Apple initially promised to bring Apple Intelligence as part of iOS 18.0 update but then later delayed it for iOS 18.1 release. iOS 18.1, which is scheduled for public release on October 28, included first wave of Apple Intelligence features such as new Siri animation, Clean Up in Photos app, Memory Movies in Photos, Writing Tools, notifications summaries, and more.
If you’re a registered developer of Apple Developer Program portal, you can head over to Settings > General > Software Update section of the device (iPhone and iPad) and grab the beta update from there. Alternatively, you can download IPSW file from developer.apple.com and update to beta 1 of iOS 18.2 using Finder on Mac or iTunes on Windows.
Update: Apple has also released macOS 15.2 beta 1 alongside iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 betas. You can learn more of that release here.
