Download: iOS 18.1 RC, macOS 15.1 RC, visionOS 2.1 RC, tvOS 18.1 RC, watchOS 11.1 RC Released

Apple has today released for download iOS 18.1 RC, iPadOS 18.1 RC, macOS 15.1 RC, visionOS 2.1 RC, tvOS 18.1 RC and watchOS 11.1 RC for compatible devices.

This news comes hot on the heels of Apple confirming iOS 18.1 final release date, which is now scheduled for October 28 release.

If you’re a member of Apple Developer Program, you can head over to Settings > General > Software Update section of the device and grab the OTA update from there. If you want to update using physical file format, you can grab it from developer.apple.com and then update your device using Finder/iTunes on the computer.

So what’s new in these updates? Well, as you may already know, Apple announced Apple Intelligence coming as part of iOS 18 back at WWDC in June this year but then later had to delay it as it wasn’t ready for prime time use. While iOS 18.0 and others were released to public last month, one key feature (Apple Intelligence) was missing in it.

Now with first .1 update, Apple is finally brining Apple Intelligence features to all of the above mentioned platforms.

The first wave of Apple Intelligence features include Writing Tools, all-new Siri, Clean Up for Photos, Creating Movie Memories in Photos app, Smart Replies in Mail and Messages and more. Some of other Apple Intelligence features like Image Playground and Genmoji will be coming as part of iOS 18.2 release by end of the year.
