Download: iOS 18.1 Beta 4 OTA Update, IPSW Links For iPhone Released

You can now download iOS 18.1 beta 4 via the OTA update file mechanism while IPSW links for iPhone. Here are the details of this new release as Apple gets ready to release the final iOS 18.1 update to the public later in 2024.

Apple has today released the fourth beta version of iOS 18.1 to developers, allowing them to put the updated software through its paces as the beta process trundles on. The iOS 18.1 update hasn’t had a public beta release so far, and that’s unlikely to change with this fourth developer beta.

The update means that registered developers can now see what has changed since the previous betas, with improvements to Apple Intelligence likely to be on the list of tweaks. That being said, we don’t exactly know at this point what else has been included in iOS 18.1 beta 4 and we will of course update you once we know more.

Registered developers who want to download iOS 18.1 beta 4 on an iPhone can head over to the Settings app followed by General > Software Update > Beta Updates section and then make sure you have the iOS 18.1 Developer Beta option selected. You should then see the new beta become available, ready for download.

Those who prefer to install the IPSW files manually can of course do that by heading over to developer.apple.com to grab the file for your specific device.

Remember that you do need to be a registered developer and that you need to have an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max in order to use the Apple Intelligence features. That will change once the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro handsets are released towards the end of September, however.
