You can now download iOS 18.1 beta 2 via the OTA update file mechanism while IPSW links for iPhone. Here are the details on this new release.
Apple has today released the second beta version of iOS 18.1 which comes two weeks after the first was also made available for download.
The update means that registered developers can now see what has changed since that initial beta, with improvements to Apple Intelligence likely to be on the list of tweaks. That being said, we don’t exactly know at this point what else has been included in iOS 18.1 beta 2 and we will of course update you once we know more.
Those who want to download iOS 18.1 beta 2 on an iPhone can head over to the Settings app followed by General > Software Update > Beta Updates section and then make sure you have the iOS 18.1 Developer Beta option selected. You should then see the new beta become available, ready for download.
Alternatively, those interested in a clean installation of iOS 18.1 via IPSW file can do just that by heading over to developer.apple.com to grab the file for your specific device. Remember that you do need to be a registered developer and that you need to have an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max in order to use the Apple Intelligence features.
Apple hasn’t yet said when iOS 18.1 will be released, but iOS 18 is expected to be made available next month.
