Apple has today released for download iOS 17.5 final IPSW links and OTA update alongside iPadOS 17.5 for iPhone and iPad respectively. And you can grab them right now.
The new update arrives after a weeks-long beta process and not all that long from what is expected to be the unveiling of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 at WWDC on June 10.
The update itself isn’t a huge one but it does bring new changes for those who live in the European Union. For those people, downloading the update will allow them to install apps directly from a developer’s website for the first time. Globally, a new Repair Mode feature will make it easier to send an iPhone for repair, removing the need to turn off the Find My iPhone feature. Apple has also added a new Quartiles game for Apple News+ subscribers, too.
Those who want to install the update on their iPhone or iPad can do so via the usual software update mechanism in the Settings app, while those who want to download the IPSW files and install them manually can do that using the links below.
