Hot on the heels of a slew of new iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV software updates made available to the public, Apple has now also released new beta updates that can now be downloaded by developers.
Those software updates include iOS 17.3 and macOS 14.3 beta 1 updates, while a new beta 7 release of the visionOS software has also been made available for download.
These new updates are all now available for download via the Apple developer website as well as on-device for those who have the correct developer account signed in — with the one exception obviously being the visionOS software because nobody has a Vision Pro to install it on just yet.
With these new software updates being so new there’s little information about what they have to offer right now, but the visionOS beta is another pointer that Apple continues to work towards making the Vision Pro available for purchase. We don’t yet know when that will be, but reports have so far suggested that it might arrive within the next few months.
Apple was reportedly aiming for a January release, but a recent Bloomberg report suggests that Apple won’t begin training Apple Store employees until that month, suggesting we might have to wait a few weeks longer.
As always, we’d only suggest that people install the iOS 17.3 and macOS 14.3 beta if they have a device specifically for testing those updates as it’s possible there will be bugs and other issues.
