Apple has now released for download iOS 16.5 in the form of IPSW links and the OTA profile file update. That means that you can now get the update using the details given below.
You can of course install the iOS 16.5 update manually via the Finder on a Mac or iTunes on a Windows PC, but the quickest and easiest way to install the update is via the Settings app on your iPhone.
This new update isn’t a huge one so don’t expect any massive changes or fancy new features. In terms of things that have changed, Apple added a new Sports tab to the Apple News app while those who record screen captures can now also ask Siri to do that for them for the first time.
This is likely to be one of the last updates before Apple turns its attention to iOS 17 following the WWDC event on June 5. That’s the update that is expected to bring with it a number of notable changes, but we’ll learn more about that soon enough.
