You can now download iOS 16.0.1 OTA profile file and IPSW Links for iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max. This is not available for iPhone 13 or earlier devices.
So, out of nowhere, Apple has dropped iOS 16.0.1 for iPhone 14 series devices.
This release comes only a few hours after Apple released first beta of iOS 16.1 for iPhones and couple of days after iOS 16.0 was made public for iPhone 13 and earlier devices.
With iPhone 14 set to launch in just over a day time now, Apple deemed it necessary it seems to provide a day 1 fix for iPhone 14 users hence why we see iOS 16.0.1 dropping today.
Apple has provided following changelog for iOS 16.0.1 release:
This update is recommended for all users and provides important bug fixes for your iPhone including the following:
– Fixes an issue with activation and migration during set up of iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro
– Photos may appear soft when zooming in landscape orientation on iPhone 14 Pro Max
– Enterprise single sign-on apps may fail to authenticate
You can download iOS 16.0.1 right now either by using IPSW files from below, or using OTA Update method.
