Apple has today released the beta 5 seed of iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and visionOS 2 to developers ahead of an expected public release in September. Here is everything you need to know about the latest releases.
The new iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and visionOS 2 updates were all announced at the WWDC event on June 10 alongside the iOS 18 iPhone software. But we don’t expect that any of them will be released to the public until this September.
All of these updates are now available in developer beta which means that those who are on the developer program can now download and install them.
iPadOS 18 Beta 5
The iPadOS 18 software update brings improvements to a number of different apps and will set the stage for the iPadOS 18.1 update that will add Apple Intelligence to the mix. Those who want to install the new beta can do so via the usual update mechanism via the Settings app.
macOS 15 Sequoia Beta 5
The Mac’s next big software update is going to add improvements to Notes and Mail among other things, and the System Settings app can be used to install the update.
watchOS 11 Beta 5
The watchOS 11 update might not be the biggest we’ve seen, but it still has some improvements of note including a new Vitals app. We wouldn’t suggest installing the beta on your own watch, however, but if you must, do it via the usual software update mechanism.
visionOS 2 Beta 5
The visionOS 2 release will be the first big software update for the Apple Vision Pro spatial computer. It adds support for an improved SharePlay experience and a new Photos app, too.
