Apple has today released the second beta version of iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and visionOS 2 to developers ahead of an expected public release in July. Here are all the details.
The new iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and visionOS 2 betas are all here alongside the updated iOS 18 beta and they can all be installed right now by those who are registered developers.
This round of betas arrives two weeks after the initial versions were made available following the WWDC event on June 10, but we’re still months away from the updates being made available to the public.
iPadOS 18
This iPadOS 18 update is set to bring some new features to the iPad including Apple Intelligence, but that isn’t yet part of this beta. The new download is available for download via the Settings app so long as you have the correct Apple ID signed in. You do need to be a registered developer of course, but if you already have iPadOS 18 beta 1 installed you’re already good to go.
macOS 15 Seqiuoa
The macOS Seqiuoa update will bring a whole new version of the Mac’s software to owners of MacBook Airs, MacBook Pros, and other devices. New Messages, Notes, and other features will be well worth enjoying but like iPadOS 18, this update will not have Apple Intelligence available until later in the beta cycle. The update can be installed via the System Settings app as normal.
watchOS 11
Apple Watch software updates aren’t always the biggest and that is the case this time out as well. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t new features to enjoy of course, with the new Vitals support one of the biggest. The update can be installed via the Watch app on your iPhone.
tvOS 18
The tvOS 18 update is, as usual, the least interesting of the new software updates, and most people need not seek to install the beta. But for those who do need to test it, beta 2 is now available for download via the usual software update mechanism.
visionOS 2
When it comes to the Apple Vision Pro, the visionOS 2 update is the hardware’s first big software update. In terms of updates, SharePlay for Photos and a redesigned Photos app as a whole are notable improvements while initial beta testers have praised the performance and stability, too.
