Apple has today released a new version of watchOS, with watchOS 10.0.1 now available for download by everyone. The new version arrives just a few days after the watchOS 10 update was released after months of beta testing.
The new update is a relatively minor one as the version number might suggest, but it’s also one that we would recommend installing as soon as possible.
The update is said to include important security updates and bug fixes which means that it is well worth getting your hands on it sooner rather than later.
This update can now be downloaded for free via the Watch app on an iPhone so long as that iPhone is also running iOS 17. Open the app then head on over to General > Software Update to get the ball rolling. Do take note that the Apple Watch also needs to be connected to its charger and have at least 50% charge before the installation process begins.
It’s notable that this update arrived so soon after watchOS 10 was released to the public considering that software went through multiple beta releases starting all the way back in June.
Apple has also released iOS 17.0.1 which is another similarly minor update and comes days after the iOS 17 release. A new iPadOS 17.0.1 update has also been released for the iPad, too, while macOS 13.6 is now also available to Mac owners.
