In a surprise move, Microsoft and Facebook today has announced Docs.com – a social word-processing platform from where you can share your Office documents on Facebook with other people. The idea behind the whole thing is to let people share their Office documents on Facebook, it is really that simple. Editing and creating documents is now a piece of cake.
Now you can discover, create, and share Microsoft Office documents with your Facebook friends. Built using Microsoft Office 2010 – Docs for Facebook provides the best possible document service for the Facebook environment. Seamless integration with Facebook means that the service is all about sharing your documents. Finally docs can be friendly too!
Docs.com is in its beta stage for now and like every other beta software or app, it has a few bugs, but they’ll work them out in the coming days. Within Docs.com you can create Word documents, Excel spreadsheet and a PowerPoint presentation.
The project is a part of the new Microsoft Fuse Labs, and you can head over to Docs.com to try it out yourself.
