Tesla might still be working to get its Cybertruck into the hands of people who ordered one, but a new round of reports suggests that the company could be working on a new, smaller version.
That version would have just two doors instead of the four that will be part of the truck that will begin to ship next year.
The source of this latest news is actually Tesla itself, with some suggesting that an image at a museum exhibit could be a hint at what’s to come. The image was hung at the Petersen Museum where there is also an actual Cybertruck for people to take a look around.
That image appears to be concept art for a future Cybertruck with just two doors, causing some to wonder whether this is a future version of the truck.
But as others have already pointed out, it also looks like the original Cybertruck prototype that was later canned in favor of the larger version that is now available for pre-order.
If that’s the case, this is just an old image that is being used as part of a museum showing rather than any kind of hint as to what’s to come.
Those who want a smaller Cybertruck are unlikely to get one anytime soon, leaving the massive four-door version as the only option.
