Amazon’s Echo Show 8 and Echo Dot in a single bundle is a great way to get started with the world of smart home technology and home automation. They both ostensibly do the same thing, but in two different ways.

The Echo Show 8 is designed to show you the information you’re asking for whether that’s the weather, a video, or the answer to a question. It’s all displayed via that large display and you can even use it in conjunction with some smart doorbells, too. Being able to see who’s at the door is always a wonderful thing and this makes that possible.

The Echo Dot, by contrast, is all about voice. The speakers provide Alexa responses just fine and because it’s super small it can fit in all kinds of spaces. It’s a perfect addition to any room in the home. Except, maybe, the bathroom. We all need some boundaries, right?
