Create And Send Christmas Cards From Your Facebook, Foursquare and Instagram Memories Using Pastcards

Pastcards

If you are anything like me, the answer to that question would be a very resolute no. I struggle sometimes to remember my whereabouts from last week never mind a full twelve months ago. Well it is a good job that TimeHop has you covered. TimeHop are an internet startup who offer a daily email service that presents to your twelve month old, daily check-ins, posts and Tweets from services such Facebook, Foursquare, Twitter and Instagram. The company refers to this as 'surfacing' your memories and prides itself on serving up a slice of pleasantly packaged and presented nostalgia.

So you may ask, what can these guys do for me during the holiday season? Well, just in time for the festivities, TimeHop have packed an additional product into their repertoire which they have called Pastcards. The service follows the same pattern but allows users to create holiday greetings with their best content from holidays periods of the past. As with previous company services, the Pastcards offering scrapes Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Instagram to pull in all of your content from the Christmas period of years gone by.

So now you're thinking well that's the past part of the title taken care of, but what about the cards part? Well once the information is collated from the services and neatly packaged you then have the option to send it all out as a nice shareable postcard to family and friends. The service is extremely simple to use, requiring an initial account creation, alternatively you can use Facebook Connect to log in. From then on it is just a case of providing your personalized log-ins for each service you wish content to be collected from.

The finalized Pastcards can then be sent to whoever you wish via email, Twitter, Facebook or a uniquely generated URL.
