The world is going crazy about wearables at the moment. Everyone is talking about the latest and greatest in innovative wearable technology, as well as speculating about where the wearable industry can go next. It seems that Ravean got the memo about the importance of wearables, but took a slightly different approach to giving consumers something to wear by introducing the world’s first heated jacket to keep you warm in those testing winter conditions and it comes equipped with a long lasting lithium polymer battery which can also help charge your gadgets on the go.
Let’s jump right in and take a look at the products that Ravean has on offer on the increasingly popular Kickstarter crowd funding site.
The main heated jacket is literally packed full of innovative tech that will offer real world benefits to those opting to purchase it. The ultra-light, any-season jacket contains the company’s own HeatedTech C6 System that sees a total of three heated body panels included in the chest area of the product. This integration comes with preset control functionality allowing the wearer to change the temperature, based on the external conditions.
If that’s not innovative enough for you, then what about the fact that it also comes with heating control system that allows you to shift the provided heat to wherever you want? Or what about the integrated long-lasting lithium polymer battery that sits nicely in the pocket area? The very nature of this included battery can provide as many as six full charge cycles for a connected smartphone. There’s also the added option of purchasing a set of Ravean heated gloves that offer the ability to interact with a capacitive display on a smartphone without removing them, and that connects directly to the jacket itself.
The products are manufactured to be extremely lightweight and suitable for wearing in all weather conditions to keep the wearer comfortable in temperatures ranging from -4 degrees all the way up to 55 degrees. It’s washable, water resistant, extremely durable, and even comes with a whopping 5-year warranty that will see Ravean replace the integrated heating element if any issues occur.
With thirty-one days to go until the campaign ends, the team has already surpassed its initial target by over $366,000, which means that this one is definitely getting funded and going into production. For further details on the jacket types, colors, and prices, check out its Kickstarter page.
