When Apple unveiled the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus for the first time at its media event last month, the audience was taken aback when they saw what seemed to be an ordinary photo come to life. Apple calls it Live Photos. Sharing these photos on platforms other than iOS 9, watchOS 2 and OS X El Capitan is not possible at this point in time, which is a bit frustrating for many users. Luckily, there might just be a way thanks to a new app that has hit the App Store.
Enter – Live GIF the one app solution that will convert your Live Photos into GIF files so that you can share your content with your friends and family over social media, allowing them to view the file over the Web using any device, be it a computer or a mobile device. The developers, Priime, have kept the app to-the-point and simply to use for all users, and leaves out any sort of customizable settings when converting Live Photos to GIF files.
When you launch Live GIF app, it will try and look for all existing Live Photos saved in your Camera Roll, ultimately listing them in a grid on the app’s main interface. All that needs to be done at that point is to select a Live Photo you wish to convert, and the app takes care of the rest. You can now share that photo over social media, send it as an email or message, and even save it to the device’s Camera Roll. If GIF is not really your thing, Live GIF is giving you an additional option as well; any Live Photo listed can be also be converted to a video file, with the usual sharing features as mentioned above.

Live GIF supports Quick Actions on the main iOS Home screen, and further builds on that effort by supporting the Peek and Pop feature as well, allowing you to quickly jump in an out of content previews.
Live GIF carries a price tag of $1.99 and is available on the App Store right now. Very useful if you have an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus.
