Apple’s iOS 11 platform is packed full of wonderful feature additions, general improvements, and important refinements which really take iOS to the next level. In amongst those changes and improvements is what can be considered as a total overhaul of the Control Center experience, which not only changes how it looks visually but improves the usability.
Thanks to the ControlCenterXI tweak, it is now possible to get that experience on a jailbroken iOS 10 iPhone or iPad.
This creation is actually part of an ongoing project called “Eleven” by the two developers involved. This particular part focuses on trying to replicate the iOS 11 Control Center experience which ultimately allows jailbroken device owners to “update without updating,” meaning that they can get all of the benefits associated with the iOS 11 Control Center, without having to go through the installation and update process, and without having to move away from a version of iOS which can be jailbroken.
It not only introduces the new visuals for the iOS 11 Control Center, which involves moving away from the side-scrolling cards and putting everything in one place accessible via its own icon, but it also brings in deep 3D Touch integration. With this tweak installed, users are able to 3D Touch onto many toggles in order to bring up a new set of contextual options. The developers have also added a new long-press gesture for those devices which aren’t pressure sensitive.
In addition to having an options panel which allows users to control various aspects of the installation, the developers have also had the foresightedness to install auto-tweaks like FlipControlCenter, Noctis, and Light Mode in order to get the full iOS 11 Control Center experience. With that said, installation of these tweaks do mean that the Horseshoe tweak if installed will be instantly removed as it brings instant conflicts. If this is the type of tweak that you want, or have admired what Apple is doing with iOS 11, then you really need to get it on your device right now.
ControlCenterXI (iOS 10) is available as a commercial package directly from the BigBoss repository on Cydia. Jailbroken device owners interested in getting the iOS 11 Control Center experience on an iOS 10 device can purchase this right now for a single $1.50 payment. That payment should hopefully include ongoing updates and support for new versions.
