A new trailer has been released that gives gamers a first real look at what Grand Theft Auto 5 will look like on the Xbox One and PS4.
Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 is almost ready for its re-release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and as usual, the developer-publisher has been busily teasing the improvements with a swathe of blog posts and preview clips. We already knew that the title would offer a in-vehicle first-person mode, bringing the gaming experience somewhat in line with Call of Duty, Titanfall and the many other famed FPS games, but the reality of this feature is even better, with first-person mode set to be a part of the on-foot experience as well as inside the numerous modes of transport.
Rockstar Games took the gaming world by storm last year with the release of Grand Theft Auto 5, and having posted record sales through the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, has spent the majority of the past twelve months prepping a version for the next-gen consoles. The PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC edition of GTA 5 will be much more than just a mere up-scaling of the visual aspect, Rockstar has promised, and what we've seen so far in screen caps has been nothing short of impressive. With the release period now closing in on the console editions - the PC release won't arrive until early next year - more details have begun to emerge of some of the treats that returning next-gen GTA 5 users can expect to enjoy.
Windows users can now use their Kinect sensor for Xbox One with their PC thanks to an official adapter kit which Microsoft has just launched. The $49.99 adapter will make the Xbox One version of Kinect not only compatible with just PCs, but tablets as well, as long as they're running Windows 8 or later.
Call of Duty : Advanced Warfare will be the next major installment of the popular first-person shooter when it arrives next month, and already, we have what appears to be a launch trailer. It's somewhat unusual for these kind of clips to hit the blogosphere a full fortnight ahead of release, but if you're waiting on tenterhooks for Activision's next blockbuster, check out the latest teaser below.
The famed Plex media player / center has finally been showcased for the Xbox One, and is immediately free to download for those with Plex Pass memberships. A further release for the Xbox 360 is also on the horizon, although won't be rolled out until later this year.
It has long since been known that a new, up-scaled and improved version of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto 5 would be rolled out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in due course, and earlier this month, we got official confirmation of the release dates. The console edition will be headed our way on November 18th, with the Windows edition set to début on January 27th, but while PC users might still have a bit of a wait on their hands, we're now getting more information on just how much better this new version will be.
Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto 5 well and truly blew every previous video game release out of the water with its record-smashing release in late 2013. Having been pushed back from spring until September, the publisher teased some slick visuals at every opportunity throughout last year, and when it dropped, hordes of gamers went out to pick it up. Shortly after, though, both the PS4 and Xbox One hit the scene, with Rockstar promising that an updated and enhanced version would arrive for the two major consoles as well as PC, and now, we have firm dates for each. Details, as ever, can be seen below.
It's a tad early in the life cycle of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for the yearning for new color configurations to begin. But with Microsoft having already confirmed that a white edition of its newest console courtesy of the Sunset Overdrive bundle, it's likely that we'll begin to see all manner of different variants as both Sony and Microsoft look to broaden appeal. If you happen to live in Dubai, however, you can already pick up both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in shiny gold, and given that real rose gold is used in the modification process as opposed to gold plating, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that it costs a bomb.
