The teaser site for the next in the series of Call of Duty has gone live, presenting a dark background with a pixelated but still visible image of a ghost's mask. The new landing page, which can be found over at callofduty.com, signifies that an announcement of the forthcoming title is nigh, and with leaks indicating Ghosts as being a central theme to the next Call of Duty release, it doesn't appear as though avid fans of the series will have to wait too much longer to learn of specifics.
Hitherto, the world has commonly referred to Microsoft's next-gen console as the Xbox 720, and although it does make some degree of sense, it has never seemed particularly likely that the software maker would actually opt for this moniker. And now according to an image circulating throughout Twitter and Reddit, the next-gen console may in fact be called “Xbox Infinity,” featuring the tagline “Infinite entertainment. Infinite possibilities.” As convincing as the image may be, many have already stepped out to refute these claims, notably Forbes, whose source suggests the Redmond company may simply 'do an Apple' and call it "Xbox."
The next big game in the Call of Duty franchise - Call of Duty: Ghosts - has leaked, over six months before it is due to go on sale.
In what must go down as a real coup for all couch potatoes, an official Pizza Hut app has just landed for the Xbox 360. What it means is, aside from nipping off to the bathroom, you won't actually need to leave your armchair for the entire weekend, provided it's one of those recliner chairs that allow you to quickly morph into a sleeping position. Notice how I didn't mention taking a shower? Let's just say, I have seen gamers on a binge, and aside from seldom being a pretty sight, the accompanying smells within a gamer's lair often do leave much to be desired.
Here's how you can watch WWE WrestleMania 29 live on your iOS, Android, Xbox and Windows 8 / RT powered devices. In case you don't already know, The Rock will be taking on John Cena for the WWE Championship, some 90,000 fans are expected to turn out to the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to see it.
Microsoft has worked tirelessly over the past few years to try and turn its flagship Xbox 360 console into an all-round entertainment system. Once a hub for hardcore gamers to get their kicks, Xbox LIVE is now awash with various type of content, and adding to the ever-growing plethora of streaming media available comes something for wrestling fans worldwide to get reasonably excited about. World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) will now begin showing pay-per-view events to those with an Xbox LIVE Gold membership subscription, and although details are pretty scarce at this point, it's a pretty big coup for both parties involved. More details right after the break.
Battlefield 4 was first announced nine months ago, but since then, we've heard relatively little of a title expected to be one of the biggest game releases of the year. A couple of days back, excitement was reignited by the release of the 17-minute gameplay trailer, which gave an insight into the upcoming title, and now, we've got a firm release date straight from the horse's mouth. Microsoft has announced that the game will be available on October 29th, and considering the previous ballpark timeframe was given as "Fall", this is perhaps slightly earlier than many would have anticipated.
Rockstar has been regularly pushing out screenshots depicting the beautiful settings and aesthetics of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V, but despite initially touting a Spring release bracket, the developer and publisher of the legendary franchise left many bemused by pushing it back until September. In an attempt to re-ignite buzz surrounding the title, Rockstar has come through with yet another batch of screenshots, and believe you me, they're as awe-inspiring a batch as we've seen so far.
Despite being a paid service, Microsoft's Xbox LIVE service is considerably more popular than the free alternative of the PlayStation Network. Whilst I have no personal preference, I always found the Xbox LIVE Dashboard to be a very polished experience, and it's a product Microsoft takes great pride in developing and maintaining. Each user is represented by a highly customizable avatar, and as well as various items of clothing available, there are also plenty of props. If you're a soccer fan, for example, you can exchange some of your Microsoft currency for a soccer ball to sit alongside your avatar, and if you're crazy about the Redmond company's Surface tablet, you can now grab the free prop just added to the Marketplace.
Some people just like taking things apart, but that's just half of the process. Once you're left with a big bag of bits, you need to put it all back together again and hope that it works when you press that big power button. Putting it all back together and making it better than the original takes things to a whole new level, and that's what Ben Heck has become so well known for.
