Modern Warfare 3 - the latest title in Activision’s popular Call of Duty series of first person shooters - went pass the $1 billion sales mark in just 16 days, Redmond Pie has learned.
That's right, folks. It's been on the cards, and now Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the most eagerly-awaited release since, well, Blacks Ops, has shattered the unprecedented sales numbers of its predecessor, having sold 6-and-a-half million units in its first 24 hours - and that's just in the US and UK.
Just a year after Call of Duty: Black Ops shattered video game sales records by selling over 7 million copies in its first 24 hours, its successor - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - has obliterated the franchise’s own sales record by reportedly selling 9.3 million copies in the first 24 hours. The game is now set to become the highest selling game of all time.
Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) was announced on October 25th about two weeks ago and we got our first look at it on November 2nd just four days ago. While the trailer was very short and it seemed that it did not reveal much about the game, but if you looked closely enough, you would’ve found a lot of references to previous games in the series and you would’ve found out what to expect from the title when it releases next year.
