All you have to do now is to download the extracted .cab file and then install it on your phone capable of running Windows Mobile. The Calculator app is suitable for almost all type of Windows phones with any type of resolution (VGA and QVGA) and it also supports both the portrait, and landscape modes.
With its large size 4.3-inches multi-touch screen, 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor and other amazing specs, HTC HD2, atleast in terms of hardware power has already bulldozed its contemporaries devices and is by now surely a big powerhouse in cellular world. We had tried to keep our readers updated during the entire course of its development phase through our various posts. Just to refresh your memory, HTC HD2 is powered by Microsoft’s newly released Windows Mobile 6.5 and is the first Windows phone to feature multi-touch support through HTC Sense (aka HTC TouchFLO 3D 2.5).
The first COM5 Build (23502) of Windows Mobile 6.5 has been leaked by Tom_Codon of HTCPedia.com. This latest COM5 build brings in some interesting new changes from the last COM4 (Build 23060) and COM3 (Build 23420) builds of Windows Mobile 6.5 that we covered. Here is what’s new in this COM5 Build 23502 in comparison with COM4 Build 23060 of Windows Mobile 6.5.
HTC HD2 is probably the most awaited Windows phone of this fall! The two major features which gives it an edge over its contemporary popular iPhone 3GS is the high resolution 4.3 inch 800 x 480 capacitive display, and a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with flash. From all the video demos that we have seen so far, it looks like HTC has finally got a killer phone which is going to prove itself equal, if not better to iPhone 3GS.
Folks over at XDA-Developers have managed to extract and run Windows Marketplace for Windows Mobile 6.5 on Windows Mobile 6.0/6.1 devices! All you have to do is to download and install the .cab file discussed here which will then download an update for Windows Mobile to make it ready to use on Windows Mobile 6.0/6.1 devices. This .cab file fix will also work on cooked ROMs of the recently leaked builds of Windows Mobile 6.5 Build 230XX and 234XX branch.
Two fresh new builds from 230XX and 234XX branch of Windows Mobile 6.5 are out, courtesy Da_G of XDA-Developers.com. These new leaked builds (Build 23060 and Build 23420) were compiled on 28th September 2009 and brings some minor improvements which are listed as follows.
It looks like HTC HD2 will be arriving much sooner than we first thought it would. Engadget has been informed by a reliable source that UK carrier O2 will be launching HTC Leo on October 12 as HD2. O2 has it listed already on its intranet site with an October 12 launch date.
In the wake of the launch of Windows Mobile 6.5 based handsets on October 6, there are strong rumors that HTC is expected to launch its Qualcomm Snapdragon-based 1 GHZ CPU smartphone which is codenamed Leo in the last quarter of 2009 for a very competitive price of US $800.
Most of the secrets about the eagerly awaited HTC Leo saddled with Windows Mobile 6.5 are out already except for its release date and expected price. With its large size 4.3-inches multitouch screen and amazing specs, it looks like it is going to bulldoze all others devices in its path and is surely going to be a big hit.
