If you have been using an iPad, you would know that currently there’s no proper Facebook app available for the iPad yet. The one which is available in the App Store is for the iPhone and the iPod touch. Yes you can run it on the iPad as well but only in native iPhone’s resolution, or in the pixilated x2 size mode. In a surprise move, Microsoft and Facebook today has announced Docs.com – a social word-processing platform from where you can share your Office documents on Facebook with other people. The idea behind the whole thing is to let people share their Office documents on Facebook, it is really that simple. Editing and creating documents is now a piece of cake.
Microsoft has just released Silverlight 4 based facebook client for both Windows and Mac OS X. Back in April last year, Microsoft showed off a proof of concept facebook client which was made using facebook’s Open Stream API on Silverlight but unfortunately that never saw the light of the day. After a long wait, they have finally released a fully working client for users running Windows and OS X – with full capability to run it out-of-the-browser.
