The world may be waiting for September 20th before it can get its collective hands on Apple’s new flagship phone, but the folks at Burberry are getting early access to the iPhone 5s, with the clothing and accessory maker set to use the new handset for a fashion show on September 16th.
Apple’s newly announced iPhone 5s features an improved camera when compared to the iPhone 5, and the dual flash system aims to make the reproduction of skin tones more realistic in low-light conditions – something that will no doubt come in handy during a fashion shoot.
“iPhone 5s makes it even easier to take great photos with the world’s most popular camera,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of iPhone & iOS Product Marketing. “We’re thrilled to see the amazing photos and HD video Burberry has captured with the incredible all-new iSight camera.”
Apple currently makes a lot of noise about its iPhone and its photo-taking prowess. TV ads are currently airing internationally in which Apple reminds everyone that the iPhone is the world’s favorite camera and that we take so many photos with it daily. With that in mind, it’s arguable that the camera is one of the most important aspects of any new phone release and it would appear that Apple may have nailed it this time around.
Each new iPhone release sees the camera get an upgrade, and the iPhone 5 already took stellar images. Some of the sample shots from the iPhone 5s have been particularly impressive, however, showing that there is always room for improvement. With Burberry set to use the phone to record its London-based fashion show next week it’s clear that someone somewhere has plenty of faith in the phone’s ability to deliver the goods.
Apple’s iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c will go on sale a week from today, with iPhone 5c pre-orders being made available in the last few hours. This wanting to take advantage of the iPhone 5s and its new shooter however will need to get in line on the 20th if they want to be one of the first to take one home, though.
