Brad Pitt’s Apple TV+ F1 Movie Will Premiere On June 25 With A Theatrical Release

There has long been much excitement about an upcoming Apple TV+ movie that will be based in the world of Formula 1, not least because it will star Brad Pitt and Damson Idris.

Little has really been known about the movie in terms of specifics however, but now we have all the key information including the fact the movie will get a global theatrical release.

Apple confirmed that the movie will premiere on June 27 in a press release which also noted that IMAX cinemas will show the movie from the same date.

Those in the United States will have to wait until June 27 for the mobile to debut, however, and a streaming release will take place later. Apple often uses this release pattern when it intends to put a movie forward for an Oscar.

Starring Brad Pitt as a former driver who returns to Formula 1®, alongside Damson Idris as his teammate at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid, the feature has been shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport. The star-studded cast also includes Academy Award nominee Kerry Condon, Academy Award winner Javier Bardem, Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe Award nominee Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia and Samson Kayo.

The movie was created in collaboration with 10 F1 teams and their drivers as well as the FIA and race promoters.
