The TwelveSouth BookBook range of cases have proven themselves to be some of the most popular iOS and OS X accessories available on the market. Uniquely imagined and beautifully styled, the BookBook case is basically a rather gorgeous looking wallet and iPhone case combo that is manufactured to look like a vintage book on the outside. The quality of the product speaks for itself but with current versions only being compatible with the iPhone 4 and 4S, TwelveSouth have found themselves issuing a statement about the imminent availability of a BookBook case made specifically for the iPhone 5.
TwelveSouth have officially announced that an iPhone 5 variant of their popular case is already in production and will be launching this November, just in time for the busy holiday shopping season. The product has been in development for some time and when launched will come in either Classic Black or Vintage Brown. Apart from the fact that the case will be longer and designed to perfectly fit Apple’s latest addition of the iPhone range, it will also feature one extremely important feature upgrade that users have been calling for – a specifically designed camera aperture.
Previous iterations of the BookBook have meant that users are required to slide the housed iPhone up to quickly snap a photograph or shoot a video. This will no longer be an issue with new versions of the product as the iPhone 5 variant will feature a camera hole. Great news for those loyal BookBook customers who wouldn’t dream of housing their precious iPhones in any other case. The official statement from TwelveSouth outlines their commitment to their customers as well as the new feature:
We are, indeed, hard at work on a BookBook for iPhone 5. It will ship in November. It will be available in both Classic Black and Vintage Brown. And finally (no doubt the news you’ve been waiting for), no need to slide your iPhone up to take a picture anymore. BookBook for iPhone 5 will include a camera hole.
If you aren’t familiar with the BookBook case and you have a sixth-generation iPhone then it may be worthwhile registering some interest for when this case launches. An iPhone case and a wallet all rolled into one product with gorgeous styling, what more could you want from a case?
