Apple has today released a new round of software betas for the iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple TV as well as the upcoming Apple Vision Pro headsets.
The new iOS 17.1, watchOS 10.1, tvOS 17.1, and macOS 14.1 betas are the second to have been released for developers to put through their paces while the visionOS 1 beta is the fourth to have arrived for developers who are testing their software ahead of the Vision Pro’s release in early 2024.
It’s still too early to tell if these new betas add any improvements of note and it isn’t known that the iOS 17.1 beta will include fixes for the ongoing iPhone 15 Pro overheating issues that some people have reported. Apple has already confirmed that a software fix will deal with those issues while updates to specific apps are already thought to have helped.
As for the Vision Pro software, Apple has already said that support for the App Store is going to come via a future beta update so it isn’t expected that it will be ready just yet.
Those with an Apple Watch Series 9 or Apple Watch Ultra 2 can already take the Double Tap gesture for a spin, while teased iPhone versions like the new Journal app are yet to make an appearance and are likely to do so before the end of 2024.
All of these new updates are available via their usual software update mechanism so long as you have the required developer Apple ID signed in.
