BlackBerry is no stranger to the smartphone world - the company did make some of the best smartphones ever, especially when that was the only choice for the business community. Although they’ve gradually fallen since then, the recent attempts seem to indicate that BlackBerry is looking to get back in business, and it’s serious this time around. Their latest smartphone, the BlackBerry Z30, has just gone official, and if the specs indicate anything, it might be a phone worth looking out for.

Infinity Blade, when first launched, defined and shaped the scenario of iOS gaming, and established Apple’s portable devices as having true gaming potential. Even today, it is hailed as a benchmark for quality gaming experience on the iPhone and the iPad. And now, the third installment in the Infinity Blade series, Infinity Blade III, which was showcased on the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c unveiling event, is now finally available on the iTunes App Store.
Grand Theft Auto, or GTA, as it is more popularly known, is one of the largest and most successful gaming franchises in the history of the industry, and the upcoming GTA 5 title due for release tomorrow is only going to strengthen that. While there are still a few hours to go to that, the official companion iOS app from Rockstar games, Grand Theft Auto: iFruit, has already gone live in the iTunes App Store.
The iPhone 5c, which is going to dethrone the currently-reigning iPhone 5 as its more than capable successor, has just gone on pre-order in US, UK, Australia, China, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore, and should you wish to be amongst the first ones to get your hands on Apple’s colorful new hardware, you can place your orders right now for delivery starting Sept. 20.
While we might have been entirely engrossed in the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c launch, and while the keynote yesterday would’ve made it sound like these are the only two Apple devices in existence that are worth any mention, that doesn’t mean that the company itself has forgotten its other lineups altogether. Earlier, we reported that new Apple TV iOS 7 update will be available Sept. 18, just alongside iOS 7, and now, thanks to a tweet from MG Siegler, it appears that the set top box itself will be seeing a new iteration next month.
iPhone 5s has been announced, and while the keynote confirmed a lot of the rumors and leaks that had been circling the blogosphere for weeks now, it’s time to move on to the real world experience of the shiny new hardware (in a multitude of colors other than the traditional black and white) from the fruit company. Although it will take some time for extensive user experience feedback to develop (not really until the device actually starts shipping), initial benchmarks show that the graphic processing is actually blazing fast, blowing away the iPhone 5 by almost double the margin. Go figure!
Apple’s iPhone 5S launch is mere hours away now, and with the excitement and anticipation going up the roof as we count down the hours, it appears that the leaks are still not going to stop. Just now, a new image has surfaced over the internet, allegedly showing a page from the iPhone 5S quick start guide which refers to the trademark Home button on the iPhone as “Home Button/Touch ID sensor”. Details past the break.
Nokia has been one of the leaders in smartphone innovation for a long time, before the Finnish giant lost out to iPhone and Android, so much so that the whole hardware division of Nokia was acquired by Microsoft just a few days ago. I have personally always strongly believed that Nokia would’ve done well to keep up with the changing market trend and combined their remarkable hardware with Google’s open source Android to make the perfect smartphone. While that never happened owing to the company’s partnership with Microsoft, it might come true now, as Nokia’s Asia Pacific (former) CEO, Thomas Zilliacus, has spun off a new company from Nokia with the aim to do just that.
Nexus lineup of devices is the prime of Android, being the first in line for any updates and generally spelling out a smartphone or tablet that will receive the maximum love from the Mountain View-based Google. In the recent days, Nexus 5 has become a very shady subject over the blogosphere rumor mill, and now it seems to have made an appearance in the FCC with a few interesting updates.

PayPal is a great service itself and is remarkable to use, but their mobile apps for both iOS and Android, unfortunately aren’t - or maybe wasn’t, taking into account version 5.0 that has been rolled out today for both the smartphone platforms.
