Apple’s Magic Mouse Set For Major Redesign In 2026 Including Voice Controls, More

Apple is reportedly gearing up to launch a completely redesigned Magic Mouse in 2026, featuring touch, voice controls, and even hand gestures, according to Korean Apple news source “yeux1122.”

One of the most exciting updates is expected to address a long-standing gripe: the awkward charging port. While the Magic Mouse recently switched from Lightning to USB-C, the charging port remains inconveniently placed on the bottom, forcing users to flip it over and rendering it unusable while charging.

The new design is said to finally move the port to a more practical location, offering a much-needed usability boost.

The redesigned Magic Mouse will also feature a more ergonomic shape, tackling user complaints about discomfort during extended use. With added touch and voice controls, along with gesture-based inputs, Apple is aiming to make the new model more adaptable to modern computing needs.

The Magic Mouse has seen only minor updates since its introduction in 2009. Over the years, Apple has added features like a built-in rechargeable battery in 2015, color-matching options for the iMac in 2021, and the recent USB-C switch. However, the core design has remained largely unchanged, making a redesign long overdue.

Apple is expected to unveil the new Magic Mouse alongside its OLED “M6” MacBook Pro in 2026. This redesign could be a game-changer, delivering a more comfortable, advanced, and intuitive experience for Mac users everywhere.
