Apple’s M4 Mac Mini Will Be Its Smallest Computer Ever

Apple is set to kick off its transition to M4-series Macs later this year and one of the new Macs that will get the chip over the coming year or so is set to be the popular Mac mini. Now, a new report claims that the new M4 version will be the smallest Mac ever made.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new Mac mini will ship later this year and be powered by M4 and M4 Pro chips.

It’s reported that the new model will bring with it the first major redesign of the Mac mini since it was revamped back in 2010, and that could mean some big improvements.

According to the report, the new Mac mini will be far smaller than the one that is currently on sale and will in fact be so small that it is likely to be around the size of the current Apple TV device.

The new Mac mini will be just one of a number of new M4 Macs that are going to launch.

The updated mini is one of several new Macs coming over the next several months. The company is preparing versions of the iMac desktop and MacBook Pro with chips from the M4 line, also for as early as this year. There are MacBook Airs in development for the spring, and Mac Pro and Mac Studio models are planned for the middle of next year.

The M4 chip is already on sale inside the iPad Pro of course, but there are currently no Mac laptops or desktops on sale powered by that particular silicon. It’s the newest generation of a series of Apple-designed chips that replaced those provided by Intel and have ushered in a new era of performance and battery life.
