Apple has just started airing new ad for this year’s holiday season titled “Heartstrings” which features AirPods Pro 2 Hearing Aid capability.
The video captures the transformative experience of a father, who initially only hears muffled sounds as his family opens gifts, sings songs, and expresses their love. With the gift of clear hearing, he is able to fully immerse himself in the joy and happiness of the moment.
Apple’s own description of the video on YouTube features following text:
For so many of us, sound and how we hear shape how we connect to the world around us. Yet, people with hearing loss wait an average of 10 years before getting their hearing tested and fitted for hearing aids. Leaving millions unaware they’re living with hearing loss and without the assistance they need.
Now with the world’s first end-to-end hearing health experience, you have access to a Hearing Test that provides scientifically validated results within minutes and the ability to activate a clinical-grade Hearing Aid feature on your AirPods Pro 2 — right from home.
For those of you who don’t know, Apple announced new Hearing Aid feature for existing AirPods Pro 2 as part of new software update this year. The said feature started rolling out last month in U.S., Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Japan, Singapore, New Zealand and some other countries.
It’s important to note that this is a clinical-grade feature and requires AirPods Pro 2 with firmware version 7B19 or newer, connected to a compatible iPhone or iPad running iOS 18.1 or later.
