Apple has today announced its annual Pride collection of watch band, watch face, and new wallpapers for the iPhone and iPad.
The new band is undoubtedly the star of the show and will be available to order starting May 22.
The Apple Watch Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop will cost $99, and features multiple colors to symbolize different groups of people.
The new Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop evokes the strength and beauty of LGBTQ+ communities with a vibrant, fluorescent design inspired by multiple pride flags, and features a laser-etched lug that reads “PRIDE 2024.” The colors black and brown symbolize Black, Hispanic, and Latin communities, as well as those impacted by HIV/AIDS, while the pink, light blue, and white hues represent transgender and nonbinary individuals.
Apple says that there will also be a new Pride Apple Watch face and new wallpapers for the iPhone and iPad. None of these are available yet, but Apple confirmed that they’ll debut alongside the watchOS 10.5, iOS 17.5, and iPadOS 17.5 updates.
There is currently no word on when watchOS 10.5, iOS 17.5, and iPadOS 17.5 will be released but they’re working their way through a beta program at the moment. We’d expect the updates to ship on or around the same May 22 date that Apple says will see the arrival of that gorgeous watch band.
