Apple Watch Series 10 Vs Ultra 2: Which One Should You Buy?

Here’s Apple Watch Series 10 Vs Apple Watch Ultra 2 comparison, complete with guide on which one should you buy?

The Apple September 9 event has come to a close and there are a lot of new devices for people to sink their teeth into. One of those is the fancy new Apple Watch Series 10, and with the lack of a new Apple Watch Ultra 3 launch the obvious question is being asked — How does the Apple Watch Series 10 compare to the Apple Watch Ultra 2?

There are a few differences between the two Apple Watches, not least the fact that the Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399 while the Apple Watch Ultra 2 starts at $799.

That might not be a fair comparison given the fact the latter comes with cellular connectivity and the Apple Watch Series 10 with cellular starts from $499, though.

In terms of displays, the Apple Watch Series 10 comes in 42mm and 46mm sizes while the Apple Watch Ultra 2 has a single 49mm option. Titanium is the only material for the Ultra 2, while it’s joined by the cheaper aluminum on the former.

The newer Apple Watch Series 10 has an LPTO3 OLED display, an improvement over the Ultra 2’s LPTO2 model, but the older display technology maxes out at 3,000 nits rather than the 2,000 nits offered by the newer tech.

All of the same health and safety features are present on both models except the presence of a siren on the Apple Watch Ultra 2, while that model is also rated for 100m water resistance which is double that of the Series 10. The Ultra 2 also promises up to 72 hours of battery life in Low Power Mode and 36 hours when used normally. Both figures are double that of the Apple Watch Series 10.

Last but not the least, the Series 10 is now thinner by 10 percent when compared to the Series 9, 8, and 7. The Ultra 2 however continues to be the chunkiest Apple Watch out there.
