In addition to the Apple Watch being made available in 7 countries today, the company has also confirmed via marketing material updates on a number of its country specific websites that the device will be coming to The Netherlands, Thailand and Sweden on July 17.
There is no official press release to come out of Cupertino to confirm the July 17 release date in the aforementioned countries, but what we do have is an update to the Apple Watch segments of each Apple website in those countries. The main Apple Watch graphic has been amended to show a beautiful image of the device itself, a date that outlines July 17 2015 and links to more information about the wearable as well as the original keynote video that initially introduced the timepiece to the world.
Carrying on from the initial online-only launch of the Apple Watch in the first wave of countries, Apple has made the product available for immediate order and fulfillment in the following countries today:
- Italy
- Mexico
- Singapore
- South Korea
- Spain
- Switzerland
- Taiwan
With that out of the way, residents of Thailand, The Netherlands and Sweden can now officially welcome the Apple Watch into their lives next month, especially after witnessing how popular Cupertino’s wearable has proven to be in the initial launch countries. In fact, such is its popularity that a recent 9% dip in exports of Swiss made watches has largely been attributed to the launch of the product.
Those interested in the Apple Watch will have quite a dilemma on their hands when actually choosing the correct configuration. There are multiple models to choose from, with each one offering multiple configurations based on the size of the Watch, the case type and the band that accompanies the device.
It remains to be seen what stock levels will be like when this is actually pushed live in July in the above mentioned countries, but for now, it’s great news to see the product being offered to additional countries.
