Apple Watch Packaging Spotted On Apple’s Website?

When it comes to the packaging of its hardware, Apple’s train of thought seems to reflect that of the devices themselves. Where the company is embroiled in something of a battle with the rest of the industry to continually downsize the likes of the iPhone and MacBook, it also seems locked in a more personal effort to reduce packaging, which often saves money and spares the environment in the process. The Next Big Thing out of Cupertino will be the Apple Watch, which is slated for launch on April 24th, and now, we may have a glimpse of some packagings of the wearable.

Apple has just updated a jobs page on its official site, and with it, appears to have teased the packaging of Apple Watch or one of its official accessories. As you can see from the image, the simple, white box bears the hallmarks of Apple’s wrapping of numerous iOS devices over the years.

We first heard all the way back in September when Apple Watch was initially announced, that the 18k gold Apple Watch Edition models will sport grandiose packaging that will double as jewelry boxes and include their own charging docks. With prices in excess of $10,000, it’s the least that Apple can do, really, but if you’re planning on picking up one of the more modest editions of the device, like the Sport or the stainless steel model, then your packaging will seemingly be a little more generic.

Given how thin the packaging appears to be in the blurred image, it is more likely to be for one of the official band accessories than the actual Watch. But if history is anything to go by, Apple will go as minimalistic as possible for the actual Watch packaging.

The final closer look at the retail packaging will obviously be revealed on the launch day, with various unboxing videos hitting the Web. We’ll be posting one of our own on the launch day, stay tuned for that.
