As expected, Apple has continued the development of the fantastic and extremely popular Apple Watch by introducing a number of new models and accessories during today’s media event. After waxing lyrical about the intelligent timepiece and claiming that “Apple Watch is helping users live a better day”, Tim Cook eventually handed over to Jeff Williams to get down to business to introduce not only a new range of models, but also new straps to accompany them.
The initial Apple Watch unveiling focused on a product partnership with Hermès, who will create a range of designer bands and watch faces that will be available for the Apple Watch this coming October. The partnership with Hermès will see consumers able to purchase a stunning range of premium leather straps that should perfectly compliment the expensive look and feel of the Apple Watch, complete with Hermès-designed watch faces, which should expand on that premium feel.
The pricing model for the Hermès lineup is as follows:
Apple Watch Hermès starts at $1,100 (US) for the 38 mm stainless steel case with the Single Tour, $1,150 (US) for the 42 mm stainless steel case with the Single Tour, $1,250 (US) for the 38 mm stainless steel case with the Double Tour and $1,500 (US) for the 42 mm stainless steel case with the Cuff.

Apple also announced the existence of two new Apple Watch finishes for the Sport range. New Gold and Rose Gold coverings will be offered to consumers at the same price point of the current Apple Watch Sport range. Williams confirmed that the outer casing of the offerings has been engineered from anodized aluminum and that consumers “really have to see them in person” to get a true understanding of just how beautiful they look and feel. The Apple Watch Edition too is getting an 18-karat Rose Gold variant with a midnight blue Classic Buckle.

The Apple Watch upgrades don’t finish there. A new Space Black stainless steel variant will be offered alongside black Sport Band. The classic leather band that has previously been available and proven so popular has been updated with a two-tone look.
There’s also the introduction of expected Apple Watch stainless steel with (PRODUCT)RED Sport Band that will see a financial donation made to charity for every one purchased. If that wasn’t enough and you were looking for something a little less drastic, Williams also unveiled new navy blue and orange Sport Bands.

Quite the introduction of new booty for the Apple Watch. All of the upgrades, with exception of the Hermès designs, will be shipping immediately in 24 different countries. The Hermès lineup will be available October 5.
