Apple’s WWDC23 event is now just a matter of days away and the company is expected to announce a raft of new hardware and software.
Now, the company has teased what it’s calling “a new era” amid rumors that it will announce its first AR/VR headset during the event.
The headset, thought to be called Reality Pro, will be Apple’s first headset of this kind and could herald a change in the way people interact with their digital lives. That’s what Apple will hope at least, and now it’s shared a new teaser ahead of its event.
WWDC 2023 will kick off on June 5 at 10am PT, and a tweet from the Apple Twitter account says that’s when “a new era begins.” There’s also mention of being able “code new worlds,” something that again suggests that developers are going to have a new device for which to build apps.
The mention of new worlds came in a blog post on the Apple Developer website.

As for WWDC itself, the headset will no doubt be the biggest unveiling, but it won’t be the only one according to rumors. Multiple Macs could also debut including a 15-inch MacBook Air. We’ll also see Apple preview the upcoming software updates for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV — all of which will ship to the public later this year.
