Apple Reportedly Working On Two New iPhone Designs For 2026

Apple is reportedly working on two brand-new iPhone designs for 2026 according to Mark Gurman. In his Power On newsletter, he revealed that Apple is finalizing its first foldable iPhone, which is still set for a 2026 release.

But that’s not all—there’s another iPhone with a new design in the works for the same year.

This is the first time we’re hearing about two major iPhone redesigns coming in one year. Apple is already making big design changes to the iPhone 17 Pro models and introducing the iPhone 17 Air this year, so another big shift in 2026 is surprising.

Gurman didn’t share details about the second new iPhone, but speculation is already building. One possibility is that the base model iPhone 18 will get a major redesign, since it’s the only model staying mostly the same in the iPhone 17 lineup.

However, Gurman’s wording suggests something bigger than just a base model refresh.

Apple’s 2026 iPhone plans are still a long way off, but recent hints from CEO Tim Cook and hardware chief John Ternus suggest the company is pushing for its biggest iPhone updates yet.
