Apple has today released some new beta software updates to developers to allow them a chance to get their apps ready for the new release and ensure that any bugs are reported to Apple.
The new software updates include macOS Sonoma 14.4 and watchOS 10.4 and they’re both available for download right now.
We don’t yet know when these updates will be released to the public, but it’s likely that will happen within the next few weeks.
watchOS 10.4 beta 1
The watchOS 10.4 beta update doesn’t appear to have all that many new features available in its current state, but one feature that we have seen is that there are a number of new emojis in this release. Those emojis include a brown mushroom, a lime, a phoenix, and two shaking heads (one vertical, one horizontal) to represent someone nodding in the affirmative or shaking their head in the negative.
This watchOS 10.4 update requires that the Apple Watch be charged to at least 50% and be on the charger in order to begin the installation.
macOS Sonoma 14.4 beta 1
Apple has released macOS Sonoma 14.4 beta 1 to developers and it can be installed by those who are signed in with their registered developer Apple ID. New features haven’t yet been found beyond the addition of the same emojis found in the watchOS 10.4 beta mentioned above. There could be Mac-specific features added here, but we haven’t been made aware of them yet.
